| Kris Goorsky's Biography |

Kris Goorsky is a 2001 graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Photography. After completing her studies at Drexel, Kris chose to pursue a career in education, where she could expose new students to photography and art. She received her certification in Art Education from Kutztown University in 2003.

Kris is a 1997 graduate of Emmaus High School, where she discovered her passion for photography. At Drexel, Kristine's interest in photography expanded to more artistic areas. She took advantage of every art course offered and found a second passion to photography.

During her time at Drexel, Kris worked as the photography editor for the school newspaper, The Triangle. Many of her duties included covering events, developing negatives, and scanning the negatives and preparing them for print. She also did an internship at Philadelphia Style Magazine where she worked as the Photo Intern.

Kris served as a Resident Assistant (RA) for three years at Drexel. As a RA, Kris became a mentor for freshman art students. She was a guide for the students and helped them to grow as artists, which helped lead her to a career in teaching.

Currently Kris is in her fourth year of teaching in Schuylkill Haven School District, PA. She teaches Photography I, II, III and IV, Ceramics I, II and III, Foundations of Art, Design I and II and Portfolio Preparation. Kris has just finished rewriting the curriculum for the art department.

Kris resides in New Tripoli, PA with her husband, Joe, and her dog, Daisy.
